    "Grow 'woolly' plants

Wool carder bees are one of the UK's largest #SolitaryBees , and they get their name from their practise of collecting hairs from plant leaves and stems, in order to build the cells within their nests. The plants you can grow to provide the 'wool' include #LambsEars (#Stachys) and #mullein (#Verbascum) species."

  6. My no-dig veg beds are finally getting properly established at Woodlands Hall. My soil is beautiful under the cardboard and compost mulch layer...and the Trifolium incarnatum looks gorgeous. Bumbles are very pleased with me too. #regenerative #organic #ukgardens #greenmanure #compostodon #nodig #vegetablegardening

  11. First time growing Rainbow Glass Popcorn from Real Seeds. Not the greatest weather for ripening up sunshine hungry crops this year in the UK, but I got a couple of cobs. It's fun, so I'll try my luck again next year and hope for a better summer in 2024. #Bloomscrolling #OrganicVegetables #KitchenGardening #GardenersofMastodon #UKGardens
