Der #Manga "The Strange House" wurde dieses Jahr für den Max-und-Moritz-Preis nominiert und macht auch sonst einen etwas ungewöhnlichen Eindruck. Die #Mystery-Serie ist die Adaption eines Romans von Uketsu.
Es geht um einen Mystery-Autor, der von einem Einfamilienhaus mit ungewöhnlichem Grundriss erfährt. Den schaut er sich zusammen mit einem Architekten an und stellt schließlich einige Theorien dazu auf. Dann kommt ein weiteres seltsames Haus dazu und der Verdacht auf eine außergewöhnliche Mordserie wird stärker...
Insgesamt schon ganz spannend erzählt, wobei es durch den Fokus auf die entfernte Betrachtung der Häuser doch für das Genre ungewöhnlich distanziert. Die "seltsamen" Eigenschaften des Hauses fand ich am Anfang etwas konstruiert (winzige nicht zugängliche Räume haben Häuser durchaus oft - als Installationsschacht), aber im Laufe der Geschichte funktioniert das Thema trotzdem ganz gut. Die Zeichnungen sind solide und bringen die Stimmung gut rüber.
