Today will play my beloved soccer team: "Universidad de Chile". Its rival? Universidad Católica. The "classic university" match; the secular team versus the Catholic one. Full of mysticism and of course, passion. "La U" will play as the local team, so, it will be a whole party.
My kid (just like me and his grandfather, and also his deceased great-grandfather) is a "U" fan... I think the biggest one this family has had. He wears the team's shirt every day, no matter what! He got the whole uniform, of course, and lots of different versions of the team's shirt: local, visit, special editions... It is ALWAYS a great gift for him (as he says: "ANYTHING from U de Chile, please!"), and that's very convenient for all his family, 'cause sometimes it's hard to get something for his birthday or christmas.
Following and supporting a team is a way to learn how to win and lose... to support despite difficulties, and to feel genuine love. It teaches how to live with resilience and to mature as a human being.
