inbox : "We are excited to announce a new improvement to the UCSC Genome Browser: the Visible Tracks group. The Genome Browser now includes a dynamic track group that automatically displays all currently visible tracks in one convenient location. This means you no longer need to hunt through multiple track categories to adjust tracks you've already turned on."

Turkey is now officially worked off.
We rode a really nice but demanding 15.7 mile road bike ride from Natural Bridges in Santa Cruz CA up beyond the University of California at Santa Cruz this morning with the Tri Club. An 825 foot vertical climb from the coast to the top turn around really catches one’s attention. But the ride back down is well worth the climb.
We’re reasonably lucky in Santa Cruz county to have a number of nice bike routes with a wide variation, from hills, to coastal routes, to rides through the agricultural fields. Santa Cruz has a lot of work to do to improve marked bike lanes, but it is getting steadily better

Since when does the #USA federal government dictate how universities are run?
Any University that caves in to nonsense from a gangster has no credibility whatsoever.
If they are going to cave in to fascism......More Than They Already Have...
... it's better to have classes in a tent, like they did indeed suggest at #UCSC and my friend, the late Paul Lee paid for the tent.
Yes the Tent University does reappear in times of protest. @petersuber

#ucsc We are pleased to announce the release of a new Public Hub, UniversalEPI ENCODE for hg38. This track hub displays normalized #atacseq and #HiC interaction predictions based on ENCODE data and generated using UniversalEPI. UniversalEPI is an attention-based deep ensemble model that predicts enhancer–promoter interactions (EPIs) up to 2 Mb apart using only DNA sequence and chromatin accessibility (ATAC-seq) data.

new track format in the ucsc GenomeBrowser: "bedMethyl and bigMethyl Track Format" https://genome.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/help/bedMethyl.html
" This format is useful for base-resolution methylation data generated by bisulfite sequencing or direct methylation detection methods such as long-read sequencing. By including both methylation level and support (coverage), bedMethyl provides a detailed view of methylation across the genome."
