Caught up with the #manga #Akane-banashi!
It's part of what is apparently a subgenre of manga based around #rakugo, following the likes of Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu, Joshiraku, and Uchi no Shishou wa Shippo ga nai. However whereas those are respectively focused on drama, comedy, and... tanuki-fox yuri...? Akane-banashi is instead very much focused on rakugo itself mixed with a very #shounen bent. (It is, indeed, in Weekly Shounen Jump.)
It has what I feel is a fairly rough start, blazing through sections in one chapter that feel like they should have been three, but I feel like now it's hit a nice pace. Finally, I'll say I love all the character designs---and there are a lot of them!
