Bin ich eigentlich ein unwürdiger Spalter, weil ich jetzt #Ubuntu Pro auf meinem #Server aktiviert habe?
Naja, immerhin geht das auf 5 Geräten kostenlos, wenn man schon ein Ubuntu One Account hat. Für #Linux Verhältnisse ist das fast idiotensicher zu machen. Befehl mit dem eigenen Token steht direkt im Account das man nur Copy & Paste machen muss. -

#Ubuntu passa a #flatpaks, di questo ne siamo felici ma ovviamente tutto questo porta alla seguente riflessione:
- #UbuntuOne è stato chiuso.
- #UbuntuPhone è stato chiuso.
- #UbuntuTV è stato chiuso.
- #Unity è stato chiuso.
- #Mir è stato chiuso.
- #snaps è un morto ma non lo sa.
A quando la prossima chiusura? Questi fallimenti dovrebbero far capire a #canonical che sarà brava in tante cose ma di certo non nella scelta di come impiegare le proprie risorse per fare innovazione. #opensource -

Although both the modules use the GPLv3 license it is to be noted that snapd has proprietary code from Canonical for its server-side operations with just the client side being published under the GPL license."
Their UbuntuOne cloud storage service failed because of this refusal to liberate server-side source. Canonical just don't learn.

Zudem ermöglicht es den allgemeinen Empfang von Push-Benachrichtigungen, der zuvor an eine Anmeldung bei Ubuntu One gebunden war.

I've signed up for the free package for #Disintermedia.net.nz, a project that exists to research and promote the transition to ethical tech, including #FreeCode software and federated services. Disintermedia is completely unfunded and independent, and relies on the support of ethical hosts like #CoActivate.org, who have hosted the blog and wiki for years.
