Now it is done: At #OpenPrinting we have now full #RISCV support by our 6 Snaps in the Snap Store:
https://snapcraft.io/publisher/openprinting
- CUPS: Full printing stack
- ipp-usb: IPP-over-USB daemon for driverless USB printing
- 4 Printer Applications: All printer drivers which typically come with Linux distros, ~10000 legacy printers supportedThese Snaps can be used on the the #DeepComputing Risc-V board for @frameworkcomputer laptops, also with #Ubuntu Core and #UbuntuCoreDesktop.

Sorry, I was too quick with the switchover of #Ubuntu 23.10 to the #Snap of #CUPS. We have decided to revert to the #Debian packages of the printing stack:
https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/cups-snap-call-for-testing/21266/59?u=till-kamppeter
With the CUPS Snap as immutable printing stack I will now concentrate on #UbuntuCoreDesktop and when it is nicely working there, reconsider it on classic Ubuntu ...
But do not stop testing the CUPS Snap and the #PrinterApplications. Stay tuned for further calls for testing in the #OpenPrinting News!
