#Ubuntu24 hat auf einmal Probleme weil in der #Wireguard Client Config ein DNS Server steht, der nicht in der Range der AllowedIPs ist. Vorher mit #Ubuntu20 schien das keine Probleme zu machen, auch wenn natürlich Unsinn. Aber muss man auch erstmal finden, wenn man ein neues Gerät in Betrieb nimmt.

Vielen Dank für die Rückmeldungen. Ich habe gerade mal #Mint #Linux runtergeladen, werde das auf nen #USB Stick kopieren und wenn das #ThinkPad da ist, das installieren.

Ich werde berichten, was meine Kinder berichten, wie sie damit klar kommen. Sohn verwendet ja privat schon #ubuntu20.0.4 und kommt damit gut klar.

Für mich wird #Mint eine neue Erfahrung, auf die ich mich aber sehr freue

At work we are decommissioning an #ubuntu12 server and replacing it with an #ubuntu20 server. The biggest gains have been thanks to #systemd. It wasn't around 8 years back on #ubuntu. Now we can perform mounts dependent on the network after network connectivity is established, launch custom scripts, and have automated email status alerts. The persistence of a well-written systemd unit and service is truly amazing and has improved our servers' capabilities, reliability, and uptime.
