😱 El tweet que me dejó sin palabras: Karina Castelao y su visión sobre Latinoamérica
¿Quién es Karina Castelao y por qué su tweet causó revuelo?
Aunque no sigo a Karina Castelao (@karinacastelao), confieso que más de una vez me habían hecho gracia algunos de sus tweets. Pero esta vez… wow. Me dejó completamente impactada.
Lo que publicó no solo fue insensible, sino que también deja ver un aire de superioridad que a muchos nos hizo ruido. Y eso que venía de alguien que suele tener buen tino en redes. Pero esta vez… se pasó tres pueblos.
El tweet en cuestión 🧐
«Hermanos hispanoamericanos. No os riáis de nosotros porque nos alarmemos por haber pasado un día sin electricidad en España. Y menos llamándonos flojos porque vosotros estáis acostumbrados a cortes eléctricos y a vivir así. Mejor, reflexionad porque deberíais de estar llorando.»
Así, sin anestesia. Básicamente dijo: ustedes viven como si estuvieran en la Edad Media, nosotros somos civilizados y ustedes no. ¿Perdón?
Y aquí va lo primero que hay que dejar clarísimo:
No somos “hispanoamericanos”. Somos latinoamericanos, aunque les pese a los españoles.Pero ese no fue el tweet más polémico… 😤
Se nota que le ardió la bulla que le soltó Latinoamérica, porque sacó su xenofobia y clasismo sin filtros con el siguiente tweet:
«A mí eso me parece estupendo. Además la gente que se ‘ríe’ lo hace desde México o Colombia. Y yo creo que deberían de estar llorando, salvo que piensen que vivir en condiciones tercermundistas es a lo único que pueden aspirar.»
👀 O sea… ¿nos llama tercermundistas como insulto, generaliza a países enteros y además se burla del contexto socioeconómico como si eso definiera el valor humano de alguien?
Yo no me pude quedar callada ✋
Tuve que decir algo. No me aguanté. Así que le respondí directamente:
«Y estos tweets son el ejemplo claro de feminismo blanco en todo su esplendor. Y vaya que triste, porque estoy de acuerdo contigo en muchos de tus post, pero esto me dejó sin palabras.»
Porque sí, esto también es parte del problema. Un discurso progresista que solo aplica si eres europea, blanca, con pasaporte azul y conexión estable. Pero cuando se trata de hablar de Latinoamérica, ahí sí vale la burla, la condescendencia y el desprecio.
Una respuesta desde este lado del charco 🌎
Querida Karina:
En México no estamos “acostumbrados” a los apagones. No es parte de nuestro día a día, no es una postal folclórica y mucho menos motivo de orgullo. Solo que, cuando sucede, no actuamos como si se fuera a acabar el mundo.
Simplemente respiramos, nos adaptamos y seguimos. Como adultos funcionales. No corremos como gallinas descabezadas ni hacemos drama en Twitter.
Y ya que hablamos de historia… los gachupines también fueron conquistados. No lo decimos por burla, sino porque da risa cómo se olvidan de los siglos de presencia mora y se creen eternos conquistadores. Spoiler: también fueron colonizados.
¿De verdad somos los que deberíamos “estar llorando”? 🤔
Si algo tenemos en común en Latinoamérica es la resiliencia. Hemos vivido de todo: terremotos, crisis, apagones, censura, gobiernos de telenovela… Y aquí seguimos. No porque nos guste el caos, sino porque sabemos adaptarnos.
Mientras allá un apagón genera histeria colectiva, acá se toma con filosofía y hasta con memes. ¿Quién es el flojo en realidad?
Este tipo de tweets nos recuerdan que aún hay mucho clasismo y eurocentrismo disfrazado de “opinión educada”. Y aunque no se trata de hacer una guerra digital, sí vale la pena levantar la voz cuando el comentario viene desde un pedestal.
Así que Karina, si lees esto: la próxima vez piensa dos veces antes de generalizar. No subestimes a los que viven distinto. Porque desde este lado, nos reímos con causa, no por ignorancia. 😉

Now that Elon Musk has driven dril off Twitter, there's absolutely no point in posting there anymore. The site is only going to give you less and less engagement from now on.
Adjusting to posting on other social media sites after using Twitter for so long will be difficult but I ultimately feel like it will be a much better experience for me.

Hmmm. It's very similar to how Conspiracy Theories work. There's a barely plausible idea put forth which confirms prejudices but which is then latched onto. It's not the facts that grab people (non existent) it's the emotional satisfaction. Definitely propaganda and great explanation. Thanks!

I'm also not applying this filter to conversations, notifications, and profiles.

Existe um motivo claro pelo qual Elon Musk agora voltou a sua atenção para a Apple.
**Se** eventualmente a Apple remover a app do Twitter da sua loja, por que motivo for, Musk pode assim alegar que foi por causa da "liberdade de expressão" e de uma ideia "contra" o Twitter que a Apple possui.
Basicamente criando uma rede de segurança para ter pedras para atirar a alguém menos a ele próprio.
Mark my words. 🤷♂️

O dono do pássaro-azul antes de gastar o dinheiro estava preocupado com os bots e tinha uma premissa interessante para não ter de fazer nada. As regras são as mesmas da "vida real" e a cada conta uma pessoa identificável para eventual procedimento legal fora do digital. Entretanto, tudo isso passou e temos só uma confusão absoluta onde o bully e quem tiver mais bots ganha. #twitterdrama
