You know, while it is on my mind. #ElonMusk and what he has left for a #Twitter team. Is doing one #shitty job at trying to sell #TwitterBlue to people.
1) With the cutting of #Dms and making it #verified only for some users.
2) The #limitations for #Tweeetdeck and how #RateLimits are fucking that over hard. Plus the fact they #removed it from #Legacy instantly after #announcing that Tweetdeck was going to blue exclusively. That is terrible #business and pushes people away. Like me.

@atomicpoet I am still peeved I had to subscribe to #Twitter blue in order to disable SMS 2-factor authentication!
That said, #TwitterBlue does have a few nice features. However, outside of search, it's practically worthless as the algorithm is awful on Twitter now.
#MetaVerified is a step up from Twitter Blue, but the latter is allegedly having issues verifying people's identification.

@shipp I agree, although I guess because I have tended to focus on #RSSReaders that don't have that functionality, it isn't as important to me.
I was becoming a fan of #Nuzzel back before #Twitter purchased it, and was interested in what was then still the emerging #TwitterBlue service because I thought that integration could offer a really compelling #SocialNews service in Twitter.
#Inoreader has this sort of functionality built into it although it is local to the Inoreader network.
Perhaps one day (soon 🙏 ) we will see a RSS Reader with #ActivityPub support to facilitate this sort of conversational news?

I'm glad to see that the age of big social media platforms is slowly but surely coming to an end. There is hope: not because people are so clever that they're finally starting to protect their data, but because our data no longer generate enough profit for greedy capitalists. In other words, it's a pleasure to watch billion-dollar capital eating itself.
