there is a variety of news orgs coming to mastodon (e.g.: @BBC5Live) and many are already mirrored via (for example) press.coop (e.g.: @MotherJones),
and there are also good journalists here (e.g.: @timkmak, @w7voa )

I miss many individual voices, but for general #news coverage we are quite ok here - nevertheless, it will never have the exciting frantic hype of #twitanic’s best days …

@juddlegum #Muskrat has dragged the #Twitanic down so bad that it will die by his own "genius" hands. I'm not sure it's salvagable. It's shifted too far from what we knew and liked. For some it has reached a point where having an account there is a negative.
