Original Twister movie is the absolute best from the storytelling to pacing to the OST. However Into the Storm (2014) is MUCH better than the Twisters (Twister Remake) 2024. I highly recommend seeing Into the Storm 🌪️

We enjoyed that movie, very well put together, characters were well rounded and had growth, some very nice pop culture references and jokes too.

I watched Twisters and The Fall Guy, which are similar in terms of the misery of blockbuster cinema. Both films could work well without any references to the 1996 film or the 1980s TV series, but studios are playing it safe and going for franchises, prequels and the like. I can't blame them at the moment, but I think breaking out of this situation would be beneficial for everyone.

I just received & watched 2 original movies & their sequels in a row -- #Twister (1996) & #Twisters (2024) and #Beetlejuice (1988) and #Beetlejuice2 (2024) -- after receiving copies of the sequels on #DVD
I also watched the sequels at my local #AMC too.
The originals still hold up well after all these years & IMO are still better than the sequels. While the sequels hold up fairly well in their own right, I think that Beetlejuice2 does a better job of extending the story line & maintaining the spirit of the original.
While the still living key actors in Beetlejuice2 obviously look older (the dad died & they had to use animation & CGI to update his story), #MichaelKeaton reprises his role as though 36 years had not passed between the 2 films. He kills it!!! 👏👏
