That time of year again for the biggest event.

Twin Cities Con is here. It starts today. I’ll be there selling my books, like I am every single year since its creation. I was there at its birth. I’m a godfather. It is my responsibility to make sure it doesn’t flounder into nothingness.

Honestly though, I have nothing to do with it’s completion and running, but it’s nice to see a con I’ve supported take off the way it has and create such a large scale celebration.

Twin Cities Con is huge and amazing, hit it here to learn more about it.

I’ll be there selling my books, including my newest book from the Greenland Diaries.

I’ll be there Friday from 3:30 to close. Along with Saturday open to close. I’m not sure about Sunday yet. Don’t know where I’ll be with time, sanity, and book sales.

I’m also running a panel Friday night at 9:45 that goes until 10:30 in Room 204 (A & B) called Monsters, Monsters, Everywhere. I’ll talk about monsters. It is what I do.

Anyways, I hope to see you there. Twin Cities Con is amazing. A ton of things to do. Amazing artists and creators to interact with.

Also, I’ll be cosplaying as Inosuke from Demonslayer on Saturday.

I suddenly find myself with tickets to attend #TwinCitiesCon tomorrow with my daughter and one of her friends. I'm actually looking forward to it since I don't think I've been to an actual convention since the Star Trek 25th Anniversary in 1991.

The Clerks 29th Anniversary Q&A + Cast Reunion should be fun tomorrow. And I'm sure there will be plenty to see (and spend money on) in the Exhibit Hall.

Here is a cool thing that happened last weekend.
A person still in college joined our volunteer writing staff for @TwinCitiesGeek, so I followed them on Facebook. They soon after made a post about how they had no idea how they were going to do their homework for their photojournalism class, which required attending a local event and taking a bunch of different types of photos to capture the event.

So I slid right into that comment section: "We can get you a press pass for #TwinCitiesCon."

And if you see #JacobFrey anywhere keep asking him why his approach to "ending homelessness" is – rather than free housing – genocidal assaults and dispersion leaving people in ever more dangerous and desperate situations.

Keep swatting away his platitudes and his attempts to make government violence sound benign and asking him why he orders human rights violations until he gets some security guard or cop to guide you away.

As a nerd i am ashamed people at #TwinCitiesCon allowed him photo ops.

I am bummed that I have zero energy or brain bandwidth to really "do" #TwinCitiesCon this year. I have seen like 20 booths (artists/authors) I'd love to talk to were I not falling over with exhaustion. :(
