I started watching the new Van Der Valk TV series last week and have been enjoying it. I don't remember ever watching the old series from the 70's but my parents must have because I remember the theme song very vividly. It was one of my favourite TV theme songs. Probably still is. Have a listen. It's quite cheerful and catchy, unlike the one from the new series (which very subtly includes an homage to the old series theme song).
