We're catching up with Gruen while editing photos and THIS popped up. OMG.
For those folks outside of Australia, Gruen is a comedy TV show that analyses TV ads and the thinking behind them. Each episode they give a couple of agencies $10,000 to make an advert for silly topics. This week, it was "Convince Aussies to Play Chess".
And that led to a little bit of magic :)

That Klaviyo ad, a tribute to Ridley Scottʼs 1984 for Apple, does come across as Scott lite. But probably on a fraction of the budget adjusted for 2025 dollars. Interesting idea. #TVC

I was in Hungary last week and with the help of @iszell (Thanks man!) picked up this original "Demonstrációs kazetta" (Demonstration tape) for the Videoton TVC. Although I don't even have a tape player for it yet. 😅 But at 5 EUR, I couldn't let it pass.
The inner side of the paper label was stamped to indicate it was in the inventory of an elementary school in the town of Nagykőrös. For a partial translation of the label, see the Alt text.

My friend Ian and his partner Jules treated me to a nice meal when I was in London (fish and chips, natch). Our waitress was called Kate.
Later, Ian asked, ‘Was it Kate or Katie?’
I said, ‘It was Kate. She doesn’t look like that girl from the Oxo commercials.’
We all got the joke but I suspect we are all now officially old.

I picked up a couple more Videoton TVC goodies at @revisionparty. Thanks to @iszell who brought these for me all the way from Hungary 🇭🇺 .
An Amiga PowerShark-style USB-C Power Supply, to replace the bulky original brick that runs infamously hot, and a dual Floppy Disk Drive with matching controller card!
Probably I'm somewhat biased, but it's pretty cool that things like these even exist for such a niche computer.

I'm fairly sure I'm the first person to ever test a Videoton TVC with a RetroTink 4K... Well, it works. Not so much of a surprise, as it worked quite well with the RT5XPro already. But anyway, here we go.

Booster 7 and 9 have several significant differences, starting with the changeover from Raptor 2 to Raptor 2.1, which uses electric #TVC (Thrust Vector Control). A possible reason why #SpaceX has an issue with #methane leakage compared to other #rockets could be the high #pressure that #Raptor operates at in its Methane turbopumps, hot gas manifold, and the Main Combustion Chamber (MCC).
