Ich suche einen gute Maildienst anbieter, leider lässt #TutaMail sehr nach. War bisher sehr zufrieden, bis vor paar Monaten, hin und wieder mal Bugs auftauchten, die nicht ganz normal für Tuta waren.

They both don't provide imap and smtp access because these protocols are outdated and not secure.

They don't have my keys unencrypted, they don't host them in open form. Both of them, #protonmail and #tutamail. Please prove me wrong with a more credible source than some sales promotional slop.

PS: IMAP & SMTP require username and password transferred to the server in open text which is a hazard

mk, #TutaMail looks like my next hosted email solution.

I am planning to pick one domain(hahaha😭) to keep my primary email on for the next probably 20 years, if my old accounts on #google are anything to go by. By controlling the domain and mail records that the email is sent to, i can configure it to send my email to any service that will accept custom mail records like that. This means i can point it to the #protonmail or tutamail paid tiers, or set up #postfix or #roundecube or something next to #nextcloud locally.

grumblegrumbl read that book i got from @[email protected] about email hosting ​:neocat_book:​ 📓 years of exchange management take a toll.

Super @Tutanota ... nun ist der Account wieder weg?! ich kann mich jedenfalls weder mit dem Passwort noch mit Wiederherstellungscode anmelden bzw. den Account reaktivieren - falls ich doch das falsche Passwort gespeichert haben sollte. Der Code aus der PDF geht jedenfalls nicht. Dann halt ein anderer Anbieter. Echt ärgerlich euer überzogener automatischer "#Spamschutz", wenn er vor Leuten, die auf #Datenschutz und #Privacy achten auch mit ausschließt...

#tutamail / #Steam -Nutzer: Ich hab gelesen, dass es bis zu 48 Stunden dauern kann bis ein Postfach freigeschalten ist. Nun habe ich das erst gelesen nachdem ich einen Account bei Steam erstellt habe. Kommt die Freigabemail noch an oder hab ich nun den Usernamen verbraten? x.x
Versenden kann ich Mails aber empfangen noch nicht.

@jnazarene Tarkistin nyt vielä ja Tuta ei tarjoa keinoa käyttää omaa sähköpostia normaalien protokollien avulla (IMAP, POP3, SMTP), eikä ole lupauksen puolikastakaan niistä.

Mulle nojautuminen puhtaasti palveluntarjoajan omiin appeihin on aika no-go, vaikka sitä perusteltaisiin Tutan tapaan ”luotettavuuteen”. On se ongelman jo ratkaistu muuallakin.

Toisaalta tuo suora vertaaminen tuntuu samaan aikaan jopa vähän turhankin rajulle. Vai olenko vain jotenkin liian empaattinen asian suhteen? 😄

Pues como parte de mi de-googlización, estoy pasándome a Tuta Mail (me pareció lo más interesante, después de ver algunas cosas feas de Protonmail, aunque habéis hablado de otras opciones interesantes).
Quería compartir por aquí, no tanto la migración de Gmail a Tuta*, sino un efecto colateral parcialmente inesperado: pasar todas las suscripciones y cuentas a las nuevas cuentas de correo.
Toda un aventura, con su dosis de sorpresa y nostalgia.

*aún incompleta, por falta de importación de correos en el plan que me he pillado –aunque igual en el futuro se puede y, de todas maneras, tal vez os comente sobre un plan alternativo que se me ha ocurrido).

Tutamail deletou minha conta pq fiquei seis meses sem logar

Era um email que tava usando de teste e pra login de algumas poucas coisas, mas achei mto ruim deletar uma conta de email em tão pouco tempo...

Nem sei em quais serviços do Fediverso eu tava usando eles como login, e acho que quando eu descobrir vai ser um problema. Mas isso já me faz não querer usar o serviço deles.

Uma conta pra manutenção de logins não é uma conta que alguém precise entrar todo dia :/

Acabo de ver que en Tuta Mail solo se puede usar el buscador de correos, para buscar correos desde hace un mes como mucho.
