  1. 🚫💀 The mystical allure of Turkish coffee since the 16th century is so exclusive that the article discussing it is locked away with a '403 Forbidden' error. Clearly, this brew's secrets are too potent for mere mortals—or perhaps it's just another case of the internet's finest serving up a hot cup of "you shall not pass." ☕️🙈

  2. Menengıç coffee—Turks have been enjoying this caffeine-free “coffee” for centuries!
Made from roasted & ground pistachio terebinth berries, it’s earthy, soothing, and steeped in tradition.

No caffeine, but full of culture

  3. "Coffee should be black as hell, strong as death, and sweet as love."
    Turkish proverb

I believe in sensual tech where connection feels like consent.
Like curiosity. Like warmth. Like being seen.

Have you felt this too? The difference between being visible and being truly seen.

Backstory: went to Purdy’s Chocolate and found out they no longer carry Turkish Delight.
    Heartbroken. That’s my fave!. :(

Turkish Delight reminds me of sensual systems:
    Structure that holds softness.
    Softness that invites surprise.
Surprise that lingers, sweet and slow.
Tech can feel like that too when it’s built with care.

  4. If you like both rich, Eastern-style coffee and political freedom, you can support both with a purchase of a ZH cezve from Ukraine.

I have 3, they are handmade, and just as functional as they are beautiful!

I contacted the company directly to place my order, and received awesome customer service from Nikolay. Highly recommend.

  5. Finally took my time and made a Turkish coffee (somewhat) correctly. I usually boil it too much and never get foam.

Good to show some patience (and to do better research)!

  8. Took forever to grind for some home brew #turkishcoffee ... but I just made my first cup. Well, technically two cups worth ;)

And oh man! Gave a good foam that sadly didn't last, but not really bitter at all.

I won't make it often for fear of grinding to a flare up of tennis elbow, LOL.

But, I now might have spoiled myself :)

  9. “When a prospective groom visits the bride's house to ask for her hand in marriage, the bride-to-be makes Turkish coffee for her suitor and his family. A common belief says that if the woman does not wish to marry the man, salt replaces sugar in this steaming brew.”

  11. It is time for Turkish Coffee; a rich, decadent, almost overwhelming experience. A very old traditional method that is sometimes exactly what is needed. #Coffee #TurkishCoffee

  12. trying a very different, very nonstandard turkish coffee brew recipe. 9:1 ratio, stirred at 30s, one foam only.

I don't think a moka pot is the kind where you'd be talking about the delicate fruitiness of the coffee. Having said that, I think it may have some similarities to Turkish/cezve/Greek/ibrik coffee, so maybe look to that for inspiration (I have had tasty coffee using this method).

You could also consider moka-pot coffee as a concentrate of sorts & add hot water after it has been brewed.
