CW: Qìgōng and Martial Arts
I really took my time with #TuNaSiBa #Qigong and #SanTiShi this morning, a full two hours: 90 minutes for the four breathing forms, and half an hour for #ZhanZhuang
Yesterday, I didn’t have the emotional energy to repeat all four breathing forms a second time, so I did still meditation in the afternoon (in three half-hour sessions as I was trying to build up to four breathing forms), and then the #XingyiQigong exercises in my evening session
That seems to be a good balance, maintaining three sessions a day but a wider spread of Qìgōng practices; so I plan to follow the same schedule today—save for the fact that I’ll commit to still meditation in one solid 90-minute block

I eased back into it, to give all four breathing forms my full attention and four repetitions each. This morning I did Form 1. This afternoon, Form 2. This evening, Forms 3 and 4. All three sessions followed by #SanTiShi #ZhanZhuang
But since it went so well, and my muscle and #Qi memory have not completely forgotten these forms after all, tomorrow I will do all four, for all three sessions

My Xīn (心) is urging me to start practicing #TuNaSiBa again with haste, “the Four Breathing Forms” of Master Li, Gui-Chang
But I’m still neck-deep studying Dámó’s #Qigong classics on #Yijin and #Xisui and now I also have to brush up on acupuncture/acupressure to be certain I know what the hell I’m doing with any of them
It’s literally been over 20 years since I last consulted an acupuncture chart, to compare my subjective experience of #Qi flow within the 12 Channels and 8 Extraordinary Vessels against the accumulated knowledge of TCM
