@Informassue

@hallen Oh that song brings back so many memories #Tubular. #Philly was famous for a radio stunt where a dj played the song for nearly an hour and then got suspended for it.

Sad to hear that #Tubular (Android) is abandoned. I was my favorite #YouTube interface for the recent years. One of the few apps that never disappointed me.

#PipePipe seems to be the recommendation to go to but I'd rather see someone taking over maintenance of Tubular as it really was a good app.

@BawxTheFur Applications that I consider very useful to watch youtube from F-Droid on the phone.

1) #Noutube

2) #Newpipe (to watch youtube, peertube and listen to soundcloud bandcamp)

3) #Tubular (based on newpipe but with other extra functions).

@fediverseconnection @leanderlindahl
well, then you can make the video available on #mastodon.

download it from #youtube (or #x, #instagram, #facebook, or whatever) and share it here, for example with #ytdlp or #tubular.

Probably because it detected I'm using #Tubular?

@newpipe #newpipe

I really need a content filter feature.
Id like to be able to filter specific videos based on used terms and id like to be able to block specific channels by tap holding the video and tap block channel / video

Please please please

Is there a #Peertube Android TV App?
I want to watch something on my Amazon Fire TV stick. I can't search in #tubular for stuff.
@peertube

Soluzione? #newpipe
#tubular

If you installed #Tubular from #FDroid and are waiting for the update that lets you watch #YouTube videos again, there is currently an issue (https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroiddata/-/issues/3772) but in the meantime you can download and install the latest version from github or use an alternative such as NewPipe or PipePipe.

Neither #newpipe or #tubular have been working for oo-tube of late but the latest NewPipe nightly seems to work again.
Cat and mouse these days.

For Android users: the ad-free anonymous YouTube front end apps New Pipe & Tubular both stopped working for me, but luckily PipePipe does work.

Hey hivemind, some questions in the run-up to #FOSDEM

Are people from #newpipe and/or #tubular going to attend? I'll be pretty busy, but I would love to do a half hour UI/UX feedback session.

I did one spontaneously last FOSDEM but lost the contact data, and the number of improvements in this regard is sadly zero. That's on me, and I should have retained the contact data

I'm also happy to donate and/or donate to a charity of your choosing if that helps.

#retoots appreciated

@moonglum If you cannot get rid of #YouTube for now, I recommend trying at least an alternative client like #NewPipe or #Tubular.
