Hey hivemind, some questions in the run-up to #FOSDEM
Are people from #newpipe and/or #tubular going to attend? I'll be pretty busy, but I would love to do a half hour UI/UX feedback session.
I did one spontaneously last FOSDEM but lost the contact data, and the number of improvements in this regard is sadly zero. That's on me, and I should have retained the contact data
I'm also happy to donate and/or donate to a charity of your choosing if that helps.

@lerg @jerry i think jerry would agree ai plus fission, even thorium pebble bed is child's play compared to ai powered by fusion - if they burned waste i may be more inclined - almost unlimited fuel supply = more ai in a winner take all equation - there is huge growth in the models in just 3-4 yrs...the experts are always off in their predictions - it could be 2-3 yrs for agi and within 4-6 - PhD level phishing frenzy code won't be all that widely distributed at first #eschatology #alt energy phish #tubular bells #slow horses

While doing some research into DIY phosphor coating for custom tube colors, a Dutch lady told me of a method of blowing sponges wet with binder through tubes with compressed air. While my binder ingredients are in the mail, I decided to put this sponge through tube to the test. Results in video.
The "sorry" at the end is me apologizing to someone that the sponge shot across the room at. The compressed air works REALLY well!

74 years ago today, on 12th #November 1948, Ray Williamson was ploughing a field on the #KenHill Estate in #Snettisham & turned up these amazing #tubular #torcs - the first of many finds which uncovered at the site over the next 50 years.
Tubular torcs like these are incredible - c.200mm in diameter & made of sheet #gold only 0.1mm thick, they each #weigh only c.110g (weight of a lemon or a small bar of galaxy #chocolate ).
