Jellyfin is continuing to be the home media server I always wanted, and the fact that there's a way to import your favourite YouTube videos/channels makes it just so much better.

#TubeArchivist is a real steaming pile of shit. Is the STOP download button not functioning at all a feature? Shouldn't have to kill the container to do that

After hearing @ironicbadger mention #tubearchivist on #selfhosted podcast, I set it up today, similarly to Alex Jellyfin plugin didnt work out of the box, so for anyone struggling with it: make sure you have an up to date jellyfin server (10.9.6) then restart the server, install latest tubearchivist plugin (1.3.0.0) set the config for the plugin, then make sure to restart the server atleast one more time... if you still have no luck check the logs on jellyfin to see whats what!

Ok yes, I think I can totally rant about #tubearchivist now because I reimplemented it from scratch (1), lol. No elasticsearch (datahike for storage), no nothing, single jar, fits into 50mb rss.
On a side note, clojure+clojurescript is even more fun.
(1) only the basic video download/list/watch features for now, but it's compatible with the TA's chrome extension.

It looks like the Tubearchivist project has a replacement for the Tubearchivist Jellyfin bridge service, by implementing a Jellyfin plugin.
Which is awesome.
What's not awesome is it's not at all ready for Jellyfin 10.9 and I'm running the beta. So the Tubearchivist plugin can't update the metadata in Jellyfin.
Might throw the bridge back up until that gets fixed.
I've filed a bug on github.

Now that my #Tubearchivist usage is in full swing, my disk usage requirements have fallen below 250GB. I don’t hold on to most of the content I watch through this.
The only thing missing, at this point, is automatic sync of watched status from #Jellyfin back to Tubearchivist. Right now, I’m manually marking them watched in Tubearchivist as I watch on my TV.

So I noticed memory usage was already climbing. I decided to see if I can take an action in the #TubeArchivist web console to cause it to observably increase.
It appears subscription scan is the culprit. I have 133 subscriptions. I’m gathering this might actually be a lot. A scan causes more than 280MB of memory usage that is not reclaimed.
