Das Bild hab ich vorhin schnell mal für die Einladung für meine #Halloween-Runde im @jungundaltspielt gemacht und wollte es euch nicht vorenthalten.
Es wird das SciFi-Horror-Abenteuer "Unter dem Stahlhimmel" aus dem deutschen Dread-Grundbuch. Das #Coriolis-Poster war das passendste Bild, das ich gerade zur Hand hatte, hat aber eigentlich nicht wirklich damit zu tun.

We just had our final session of a campaign that's been running the past two years. 33 sessions. I'm experiencing a mix of joy and melancholy right now, but it was the perfect place to end this story. Very satisfying.

CW: Extreme ADHD RPG math nerding
After refining my model for calculating the shipping costs in MgT2022, it's now looking like the designers did their homework.
Except for 100 to 120 ton ships, Jump-1 drives are always the most economical.
Since fuel cost depends only on distance regardless of speed, I thought this is not a relevant factor. But Jump-1 ships can carry just so much more cargo to generate income to cover the fuel expenses.

I have recently been heavily bombarded by ads for some DnD hex system on Kickstarter. Nothing new about that, over the years I've seen a lot of products target this same thing, and it always seems a little surreal to me that this is presented as stuff for an RPG.
And look, I have nothing against elaborate boardgames. I have a ton of elaborate, giant campaign box boardgames. A fair chunk of them dungeon crawlers. I love them.
They ain't RPGs.

@parsifalseere Like FATE, Genesys is a generic system and so can be used for many genres and IPs. It's crunchier than FATE, though (mid-crunch, I'd say) so it might not fit your vibe, depending what you're angling for.

Why has there never been an official Muppet Tabletop RPG ?
Wouldn't adventuring - in a wholesome way - as a Muppet just be an uplifting delightfully silly thing to do ?
I know there was a Farscape RPG but that's not the vibe I'm looking for..
This Kickstarter game from 2022 is the closest I can find ?

Mythos (our party member that died last week) is now possessed by the #MetalDemon and returns with his new underworld friends to hunt us down and kill us.
He turns the magical horse drawn carriage back into trinket form (with two party members still on board) falling into the freshly fallen deep snow.
My Warlock (whom is invisible at this point) sneaks back in to grab the carriage and says the magic word to make it full size once again to release the party members trapped inside. Half the party changes to Rat form. I cast lightning bolt in Rat Form ala Splinter towards Mythos.
Yeah, looks like it's going into overtime tonight. Does not bode well at all... nope!

I'm using a Boox Note Air 2 for that. It's basically the Remarkable 2 specs in an android device (which also means I can use it with my #Nextcloud etc). Google Play is not activated on the device by default and I won't activate it (but it's not really de-googled afaik).
Worked like a charme for all #tttpg pdfs I've put on it, but to my knowledge, there was none from @chaosium_inc among them yet. -
I am taking some of my banked extra time from fighting in the botnet wars for the past week and a half, and I am taking the day off tomorrow.
I'm going to read a book (hoping to get a bit further in The Legend of Eli Monpress), do some more prep for my #Ironsworn campaign, and get further along in my reading/re-reading of the rules for #SwordsOfTheSerpentine (which is just a really neat game).

Idea for your next TTRPG campaign. When the players are fighting a bunch of ghouls, they will pray for aid from their god, a large animated pitcher of blood that bursts through the wall and is called the Ghoul Aid Man #tttpg

The kid has got the tropes of fantasy #tttpg down. He pulled out the battle map, drew a couple of boxes and said "this is a tavern" and wrote "start" next to it. He had the mysterious stranger in the corner, the bad guy boss who kept teleporting away, and the noble self sacrifice of his character into the Dark Magic dimension to save us.
We just need to get a bit more of rules, and a bit more reading, to make it a "game" , but he totally had down the "Rule of Cool". Proud game master dad.
