  2. It's the trade deadline today in hockey and that means wall to wall coverage on Canadian sports networks starting at 8am up until 3pm. Poor Kenzie Lalonde is taking part from Anaheim where it is currently 3am but she still looks impeccable as always.

  3. @mike The #TSN sportstalkers alluded to this earlier, how if Milic was bigger he would have been a higher draft pick.

  4. Thank you, #TSN, for giving me another opportunity to appreciate just how much I fucking #hate listening to Luke Willson during #CFL broadcasts. The Grey Cup, yet.

  5. @ColleenB The #TSN camera scan doesn’t quite make it up to that level but will be watching for them to zoom back a bit. Go ahead, make a #NHLJets spectacle!!! 😜

  6. It's #halftime in one of the most anticipated games of the year in the #CFL. That would be the "Labour Day Classic" (though it's the day before labour day...) with the #Saskatchewan #Roughriders hosting the #Winnipeg Blue Bombers. It's the biggest grudge match of the year for both teams, possibly the biggest in the league period.

After a slow offensive start, the Roughriders came to life in the 2nd quarter and overturned the #Bombers' lead, which had been 10-0. The Riders now lead it 14-10.

But the reason I type this is to have an opportunity to re-tell one of my favourite stories. The colour commentator on #TSN's broadcast is Glen #Suitor - possibly the best sports commentator I've ever seen on any network, for any sport. Just listening to him makes me feel Football Smart ( #TM ). Glen is normally unflappable, but a few years ago, this happened:

The Blue Bombers had been dominating the league for a few seasons. Mike O'Shea was the coach, as he is now. They had a quarterback who could do no wrong, a receiving corps that could work miracles, and running backs that could penetrate any defensive line and move the ball.

Glen was talking about this, and he said "Now, Winnipeg has a quarterback that can really throw it, and a running back who can really run it. And if you're coach Mike O'Shea, now you've got a problem, because you've only got one ball."

You could tell he realized what he was saying as he was saying it, but he kept it together. A true pro.
