Oakridge–41st Avenue Canada Line Station to close early for one month during ongoing upgrades
Crews will set concrete slabs, add glass panels, and install a security barrier
The Canada Line’s Oakridge–41st Avenue Station will be closing early at 11 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday nights for about one month, during the next phase of ongoing station upgrades.
Early station closures at 11 p.m. from August 24 to September 22.
Sunday to Thursday nights only.
No early closures on Fridays, Saturdays, and Labour Day.
Closing the station early during this construction is necessary to ensure safe working conditions and avoid customer disruptions during peak times. Crews will be pouring and setting concrete slabs near the station stairs, adding glass panels, and installing the roll-up security barrier.The #15 Cambie/Olympic Village Stn bus at Oakridge–41st Ave Station can be used for alternative travel between King Edward and Langara–49th Avenue stns.

We have a lot of folks who avoid paying bus fare which annoys some folks who pay but like… if someone can’t pay and needs to get somewhere, especially in -40° winter. No worries for me. I can pay so I will. All good so long as everyone is being respectful.
Drivers are told not to press the matter. Safety and all.
But I do really respect the drivers that ask people to say please if they’re going to skip fair. Least anyone can do is be polite.
