So I want to make a to-scale plush moogle doll, like the one Lulu uses in Final Fantasy X. I haven't done a sewing project before, so I'm approaching it from an engineering perspective.
I found a 3D model online. I'm printing a ½ scale half-moogle (the body is symmetrical). The wings and dingle-dongle will be separate. I'm going to use this model to pattern off of, and scale it up to full size when it's fabric time.

The final Soup Sunday is here! That doesn't mean the end of making soup. I love soup and I'm sure I'll make it here and there, and I plan on doing Soup Sunday season two later this year. Next week we start New Recipe Saturday! I plan on trying recipes from Pinterest and my cookbooks that I haven't had time to try. I hope you like it as much as Soup Sunday!

I cooked leeks for the first time today. I just roasted them with some salt, pepper, olive oil, and a dash of vinegar. I'm surprised how delicious they are, and I think I'll have to more regularly work them into my cooking! They seem like they'd be fantastic with a seitan roast 😋

Trying out Headspace on Android to see if I can assist myself into meditation and mindfullness. But becoming so overwhelmed in the app with the very American upbeat intro video and lack of free meditations that my heart rate went up.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a good meditation and mindfullness app I can try out without becoming more anxious?

I started taking a foundations in UI class this month. I have been absolutely terrified submitting my assignments each week, as I don’t see myself as being very strong in visual design. So far I have had to use my words more than anything which has been to my advantage. Doing well so far and that’s keeping my confidence up. #tryingnewthings #design #ui #ux #learning #selfconfidence

I’ve been trying to teach myself to make linocut prints. Brand new at it. Feels good to work with my hands. It’s sometime hard to learn a new medium but I’m trying be proud of small progresses and not focus on the flaws too much. Trying botanicals to start- but maybe abstractions might be fun.
