I submit a customer request to one of the financial organisations I deal with. They solve nothing, but soon after, I receive a survey request from #TrustPilot. So far I have never had anything to do with this company. It is obvious that my financial organisation has provided some of my #PII to TrustPilot in order to conduct the survey. Thus TrusPilot now has a profile on me, which I did not directly consented to.
I contact the financial organisation requesting them to delete my profile in TrustPilot (easily accessible through a URL). They do not even understand the problem.
In this day and age, dealing with any company involves having your data spread over hundreds, if not thousands, of third-party companies. And this is without even thinking of '#AI'. Most people do not see a problem with this.
I hope that in 20 years, when we think about this period, we will realised how deeply we fucked up.
