I'm not worried. It will matter. Soon after the news came down I went to happy hour at my local. It's filled with working white people, most of them were laughing at Trump. Openly. Usually people are avoiding politics, but not this time. The "frogmarching" jokes were flowing freely. He's a laughing stock. It's hard to get people to vote for you when they openly mock you. -

Based on what they’re saying on CNN, even with a sentence of prison, he would probably be released on bail until all appeals are exhausted, which would almost certainly push things out past the election.
