These #Trumpists and #Project2025 aficionados would-be-Nazi-Germany apes are going to torch #Merika no matter what. Change is good, but it doesn’t have to be violent — which it will be for this collapsing society.
It’s horrendous to think about the cost of human lives the coming changes will exact, and not just in the US.

I enjoy seeing how the world evolves technologically. I like seeing that we can overcome scientific barriers. I am glad to see that #blueghost had a successful lunar landing. 🎉
I am sure that #Starship will eventually reach #Mars with a human crew, and both the #Moon and Mars will be colonized. I reckon Europe should pick up the Ukrainian flag and set up its own round of talks with Putin with #Ukraine attending (excluding #US ) and gazump the #trumpists by ensuring neither Ukraine nor the EU will accept anything less than a complete #withdrawal of #Russian forces back to the ‘agreed’ 1991 borders. Once that is made clear to Putin, the talk can start negotiating #reparations with the Russian aggressor.
Putin is afraid of the #EU and #Nato and like the bully that he is, Putin will cow under genuine pressure from the EU.Whether that happens and whether the EU has the courage to face #BullyPutin remains the questions to ask.

I'm reading Halik Kochanski's _Resistance_, Liveright, 2022. (Excellent btw.) Mostly about resisters, it also covers the tensions that led some in #Nazi-occupied countries to choose #collaboration. I'm struck by how much they resemble Trump critics who became Trump sycophants.

Much like a lot of the modern right now insists on referring to the "Democrat" party (as opposed to the Democratic Party), we should cease using "GOP" or "Republican Party", and refer to every single one of them as members of the Trumpist party.
There is nothing else, and we should not allow anyone the fig leaf of these legacy party names to justify their nose-holding votes.
