A report detailed “grave concerns” that a new system being rushed into use by the U.S. Postal Service could imperil millions of mail ballots ahead of the midterm elections.

Excerpt: "A U.S. Postal Service official has alleged that the agency is moving forward with a 'secretive, rushed' effort to carry out President Trump’s order exerting federal control over mail voting, despite a court order blocking those plans.

"The official filed a whistle-blower report, published on Tuesday morning by the office of Senator Richard Blumenthal, Democrat of Connecticut, asserting that the 'risky and haphazard' implementation of Mr. Trump’s order could lead to a 'catastrophic failure' in the mail ballot system ahead of this year’s #MidtermElections. The report said that the agency had planned to complete the new digital system overseeing mail ballots by Sept. 1.

" 'Potentially millions of American voters may not receive their mail-in ballot this election cycle in a timely manner, or at all,' the official said in the report, which was prepared with the assistance of #WhistleblowerAid, a nonprofit group that represents people seeking to expose potential lawbreaking.

Speaking to reporters by phone on Monday, Mr. Blumenthal said of the report that 'the main takeaway for me is that the Postal Service has designed a system to disenfranchise millions of Americans. One-third of all Americans cast their ballots by mail, and the #USPS puts all of their votes at risk.'

Long Day

Today has been a long one. It’s at least the fourth day in a row where I have failed to get six hours of sleep. That’s catching up with me in a major way. I’m working in the office and it has just been one thing after the other. We have been up to every challenge but they just keep coming.

I will be heading home in about 17 minutes. My current audiobook is going to finish before my drive does. I’m listening to The Masked Rider by Neil Peart. I think I have only read 2–3 of his books before. This is my first time through this one. It was his first. I have enjoyed it, partly for catching him using phrases that would eventually end up in song lyrics. “Time is a spiral, space is a curve.” “The Larger Bowl.” There have been a few others. 

I am always cold. I was never cold prior to weight loss surgery. Now I don’t have any insulation and I’m always cold. It is 90 degrees out today and I am in the office in the air conditioning wearing a jacket. Life is so weird right now.

Rumor has it that the fat nazi fascist piece of shit in the white house is going to try and overturn the two Georgia senate elections and throw out their two senators. If that happens we secede, right? Enough of this authoritarian bullshit.

Ugh… show me the way to go home. I’m tired and I wanna go to bed.

Healthcare in the USA

I saw something while I was out running errands on Sunday that I wanted to write a short post about but I didn’t get around to it. I’ll write that short post now.

This is an example of the healthcare system in the United States firing on all cylinders. There are people here who believe that the healthcare system in the US is second to none. Those people vote.

On Sunday while driving home from the grocery store I saw a car with a sign painted on the door. I am pretty sure I was in Methuen, MA when I saw it but I might have been in Salem, NH.

The sign painted on the side of the car said something along the lines of:

Wanted: Kidney Donation. Call Joe at xxx-xxx-xxxx

So I have to ask… are we great again? Is begging for organs to transplant a sign that america is great again? Are we winning the war against nationalized healthcare that every other industrialized nation on the planet Earth has?

Because #Americans have no real memory, this is the cycle:

1. #GOP #POTUS ruins the economy somehow.
2. Succeeding #Dem fixes the problem.
3. Because much of the Dem presidency was fixing the hideous problem they inherited, it wasn't rainbows and unicorns the whole time, so the #GOPPropagandaMachine makes a ton of hay out of how much things suck.
4. People believe the #BS and vote for the GOP again.
5. Goto Step 1.

Just Another Day in Hell

Think back to the bad old days of Taco the Nazi Orange Shit Clown’s first term. I used to joke that with all the bitching I sent toward him on twitter I was going to end up in front of the firing squad at some point. I wouldn’t be in the first round of executions and probably wouldn’t be in the second, third, forth, or fifth rounds. Eventually he’d get to me and I’d be finding myself in front of that wall staring down the barrels of the rifles held by my nazi toadie executioners.

Fast forward to teh bad current days of Taco the Nazi Orange Shit Clown’s second term. Last night he posted on his nazi fake-twitter that the nation is going to bring back a bunch of cruel and unusual execution methods. One of them was firing squads.

Yup… one step closer. Look at me being all Nostradamus and shit.
