The landscape of authority no longer has normacy guide rails it has had to rescue us. The MAGA Congress has proven itself impotent. The courts are fighting back. A blue wave has to be a tsunami. Trump voters have to be made apathetic disillusioned non-voters.

Trump has proven himself susceptible to public opinion and pressure. When cornered, he deflects and blames downstream. When flattered he likes to demonstrate imperial power by changing policy (Irish whiskey tariffs are now off).

As long as Trump controls the narrative: "Ukraine's fault" ie a supply issue not a pricing issue. As long as Trump's narrative dominates as the cause: Foreign actors - Iran, Ukraine, Canada, China ... not a squarely domestic decision under the control of US oil companies. He wins.

We have to upend the lies and clear the smoke and force media and US voters to place the blame where it belongs: corrupt US billionaire oil donors and Trump who profits from it. We are not as powerless as they would want us to believe.

That's an excess of between 0.4 M and 0.9M PER DAY. or 14.6M Bb to 32.8M Bb per year of excess gasoline production in the US . (US Energy Information Agency).

Again, the US is a NET EXPORTER of finished gasoline, just as it is a NET EXPORTER of diesel.

So why, if Trump's US oil donors have no supply excuse, are BOTH gas and diesel so expensive?
