  1. This makes him a sociopath.
A person who has NO sense of responsibility toward other people - I’m talking the most basic human instincts, as for opening a door for an elderly person - & in fact sees other humans as obstacles in his way to eternal life.

  2. The Day when the Hotel Pool Water Turned Brown

    Dear Diary,

From blue to brown in seconds. Was this the end to my happy holidays?

I was three years old when it happened. My family and I were together on vacation staying at a hotel with a pool. Where? I don’t remember, but I do know that it was a super luxurious hotel.

We were so excited to go to the fancy pool. At first everything was okay, but then all of a sudden, disaster happened! Three-year-old me had jumped in and then out of nowhere, the water turned brown!

    “Oh no,” my Mom said.

My Mom and Dad picked me up, took me out of the water, and ran with me to the showers. My Mom cleaned me up. Meanwhile my Dad notified a hotel supervisor about the vile disaster I had left in the pool.

    What actually happened, you ask?

Well, I literally POOPED in the pool and not a little, but like a lot, a lot.

The pool was brown as if a bunch of mud had just been thrown into the water and swirled around. The water needed to be completely emptied and everybody had to evacuate. The pool would need to be refilled with clean, anti-poop water, which would take days! Swimming was out of the question for everyone because of me.

My family hid in our hotel room for the rest of the day. When hunger took over, we finally went to the hotel restaurant to eat dinner. My parents were so nervous. They thought people would say things like, “OH NO! Here comes the poop family!” or “Get that disgusting family out of this hotel!”

    But…

    No one did! 😮‍💨

All I can say is this: always make sure to go to the bathroom before entering a pool!😉

  6. The Burial (2023) is a crock of razzle-dazzle bullshit — a retroactively BlackLivesMatter-pandering, quote-unquote true story wherein an old white man plays the race card on another old white man.

  9. The Dog Bite Murders (2025) claims to be “inspired by true events,” with “some of the dialogue” reflecting “actual words spoken.” That is technically correct. In fact, every single word in the script has been spoken. By someone. At some point.

  10. That reminds me… years ago, my wife and I went to a restaurant for a Valentine's Day dinner, that was named The Loving Spoonful. I thought that was a pretty good name. That might have been before we were married. I think it was.

  15. Queen as _Good Omens_ Says
    (a true story)

Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett note in passing that any tape left in a glove compartment for a sufficiently long time becomes a recording of Queen.
Very true: I am a witness.

A cassette tape player stood forgotten and untouched for many weeks, if not months, on a table.
Then in front of my eyes the cat walked over it.
She stepped on ‘play’ and Roger Taylor's voice came out:
“Kind of think I’ve heard that line before
    Just more
    More of that jazz”
