  1. I did this quite a few years ago for a different event, but it seems appropriate to post it again today. #MayThe4th #RetroComputing #VintageComputing #AppleII #Commodore #TRS80

  2. We find a lot to complain about and I look at my iPhone 17 screen and just sit amazed at how good it looks. #trs80 #apple #80char

  3. Came across a Radio Shack 26-1201 TRS-80 video display at an antique mall for $20 yesterday - allegedly it works, but I do not have a TRS-80 to try it out with. I have read you can connect a TRS-80 to a composite display by making a simple DIN-5 to composite adapter and only hooking up pins 4 & 5.

Would that work the other way around? My understanding is that at least one of the 5 pins is 5v, so I assume the monitor needs that for some reason.

  4. Loaded up one of the first 3D maze games - Dungeons of Daggorath on the TRS-80 tonight. Wire frame graphics and cryptic text commands were all the rage in 1983. #trs80 #tandy #retrocomputing #retrogaming

  5. New blog post! This TRS-80 Model 1 was found in the bottom of a trash bin, smashed to bits by heavy printers and cash registers above it. Will it ever run again?

  6. Prototype of #TRS80 CoCo #FujiNet which uses the cartridge bus –and not the CoCo RS232 serial port– booting up the FujiNet CONFIG program. Shows the splash and goes into the menu! The prototype board uses a PicoROM wired direct to the bus, all IO is sent out over the USB port. This is the same technique currently being used by the MSX FujiNet prototype too.

  7. Spent a bit this morning creating a new RGB to VGA cable for my TRS80 Color Computer 3. Decided to go with a VGA breakout box as my soldering isn’t the best. #trs80 #retrocomputing #tandy

  13. As a surprise Christmas gift to #retrocomputing, I've pushed out a new version of my #Vezza #Infocom #zmachine #interpreter. This time it's a #CP/M build, specifically for the #TRS80 models 2/12/16... on glorious 8-inch floppies. My requestor and tester Ziggystar12 was kind enough to take a photo of Bureaucracy running on a machine with the 8-inch drives; a game that could never be run on that machine before even though it was contemporary! #retrogaming #retroBattleStations
