  1. Up Ben Ledi today near Callender. Warm sun to start but with cooling wind on top. No midges, always a bonus & weather was excellent, much better than forecast. Nice to jog down. #corbett #scotland #trossachs #hillwalking #run

  2. Beautiful Inchmahone Priory on its island in the Lake of Menteith in the Trossachs. It was founded by Augustinian canons who came here from Cambuskenneth Abbey near Stirling in 1238. More pics and info: undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/abe

  3. I liked the lighting on this tree beside Loch Venachar. It looks like the remains of the trunk is in the spotlight on a stage. You can get really interesting lighting like this in heavily wooded areas, which is why I like walking in them with a camera.

  4. Ben Venue taken from the track of the Great Trossachs Path, just before it drops down to the Glen Finglas Visitor Gateway. You can just see a little of Loch Venachar in the middle left of the picture.

  5. A view across Loch Venachar towards Stuc Odhar on the left, with Ben Ledi on the right. Shot this afternoon in lovely weather, but with no midges!

  7. Loch Katrine on a very still and frosty morning. The water was like a mirror, and all that could be heard was songs of the birds looking forward to the coming Spring.

  11. Taken this day, 2017, a visit to the Trossachs flickr.com/photos/woolamaloo_g

A day of constantly shifting light and cloud shadows across lochs and peaks. These are the landscapes that inspired Walter Scott's "Lady of the Lake", and marks transition from Lowlands to Highlands of Scotland
