I could never find an actual news report of a tornado, but I did find a report of a collapsed building, along with boatloads of blocked roads & ~citywide power outages. @noplasticshower We started raining about 12:45 yesterday, but it has stopped & started repeatedly. Been overcast all day here. Not raining right now -- in fact, if I'd been more, um, energetic, I prolly shoulda mowed the lawn. :)
UNL Drought Monitor moved us back into the "none" category last week. Basically the whole state came up a category or more. It'll be interesting to see what the site looks like tomorrow @ 8:30.

It's quite hot and we were* bracing for #ElNiño but then the weird #weather brought us 🌀🌧️ storm #Amang. It didn't affect #MetroManila too badly, save for for some flooding in some areas. Temperatures got more bearable because of it.My evening ride 🚴🏻♀️ was maybe 31°C at the start -- I was out an hour before sunset till an hour after sunset. Still pretty warm, but not so bad.

Two tropical cyclones have formed either side of Australia. #Gabrielle off the coast of Queensland, and #Freddy off the coast of Western Australia.
Gabrielle is tracking toward northern New Zealand, bringing the risk of more heavy rain and flooding by early next week.
