TROPICAL UPDATE:
Despite the fact that we are making our way into mid-November, the tropics continues to show signs of life. A tropical wave in the Caribbean Sea has a high chance (80%) for tropical development over the next seven days.

New paper published on Geophysical Research Letters, Volume 50, Issue 17 based on data from two super-pressure balloons from Strateole-2 campaign.
"Tropical Wave Observations From the Reel-Down Atmospheric Temperature Sensor (RATS) in the Lowermost Stratosphere During Strateole-2"

STRATEOLE 2 campaign took place in 2021 in Seychelles Islands. These #balloons circumnavigated the equator at 18 km or 20 km.
