Finally got a chance to try the #HoaAlohaFloat at #TropicalHideaway . It was ok, didn't like it as much as I thought I would, but I still got a #DoleWhip, so it's all good. #Disneyland

At Tropical Hideaway, bao buns are a savory staple. In 2026, choose Char Siu (pork) or Lime Chicken, or mix and match with the Trio of Baos ($17.49). Past flavors include Bulgogi Beef, Spiced Veggie, and Loco Moco. Lunar New Year specials rotate in Jan–Feb.

The Holiday DOLE Whip Sundae 🍒🍈 from Disneyland’s 2022 season was a cherry and lime swirl topped with festive sprinkles and a gummy candy. Stopped by #TropicalHideaway this morning for some breakfast and the new peach flavored Dole Whip. That was so delicious, great flavor. And I got the special #Disneyland70 cup (for an extra $2). The last picture is a better representation of the actual color of the peach Dole whip. #Disneyland

I didn't really taste the miso, which I expect is in the dressing, but I wasn't entirely sure how the miso would fit anyway. I liked the dressing enough to use some on the salad. Good romaine lettuce and a very healthy portion of shaved Parmesan. I liked the croutons, which were crunchy but not rock hard (which is often my issue with croutons), and they were nicely seasoned. Because of a mishap during our dinner reservation at Cafe Orleans earlier in the evening, I ended up having a starter of gumbo soup but nothing else. So when I got hungry later in the evening, I decided to stop by #TropicalHideaway . I love that it's open until park closing, and that it's somewhere that you can get not just delicious dessert but also actual food that late.

So in trying to look something up, I discovered that we had this bao as part of the #Pixar festival last summer. And I said pretty much the exact same thing. 😀

Didn't know that #TropicalHideaway had dumplings but I decided to try them because I'm a sucker for dumplings. These are shrimp and chive potstickers with a crispy chile-garlic sauce, fresh herbs and lime. Very tasty and good sauce. The cast member is a chives-lover so she gave me a lot, which I was fine with. #Disneyland

Late in the evening (we'd tried going earlier but they were sold out at the time), we got to try the 5 spice popcorn chicken from #TropicalHideaway . It was a bigger portion than I'd expected, though the individual pieces were smaller than I'd expected. There was more batter than chicken in many cases. The dipping sauce was fine, but there was too much oil on top and would have been better with less oil and just the flavorful sauce at the bottom. #PrideNite #DisneylandAfterDark #Disneyland

After Fantasmic and fireworks last night, we rode Storybook and then headed to Toontown for a couple rides, and then made our way to #TropicalHideaway for a late night treat.

We had the pineapple coconut float, pineapple-coconut juice topped with pineapple soft serve, strawberry lava and a turtle gummy. Really enjoyed it, and it was a good way to wind down the day while enjoying additional time with friends. #Disneyland

Always look up. I try to always look up when at Disney. If you don't, you might miss amazing details.

We discovered last week that one of the bao offered at #tropicalhideaway has been changed. The yummy loco moco bao (spiced ham, ground beef and egg) which came with mushroom gravy on the side has been replaced by a bbq pork bao. The bbq pork bao is fine but kind of boring and much more available elsewhere in the world than the loco moco bao. I was sorry to see the change. #disneyland #magicisback #magicishere
