#TropicalDisturbance1 #AL99 keeps developing and getting better organized. . Now it stands at 90% chance of becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48hrs.
A reminder that the incoming #tRump regime wants to do away with most public services such as #NWS and NOAA, turn them into a private as-subscription service, unavailable for the common citizens whose taxes have built the vast infrastructure, assets, training and hiring of expert personnel. #USPol #TurdReich #GOP #MAGAts

#tRump wants to dismantle the National Weather Service ( #NWS ) and turn weather information into a privatized, as-subscription service. No common citizen will be able to afford it. Certainly not the majority of the population which is susceptible to catastrophic weather events. The only warning you will get are the flashy, profoundly uninformative, showy idiocy you see in "news".

#TropicalDisturbance1 #TropicalDepression18 is now #TropicalStormRafael and expected to become #TropicalCycloneRafael by Tuesday evening.

#TropicalDisturbance1 is now #TropicalDepression18 and the expected reach and strength keeps getting upgraded.
It's ow expected to reach to the coast of #Texas, after it runs roughshod over #Cuba and #Jamaica.
System keeps getting better organized, and the incipient vortex looks about the size of Florida peninsula.

#TropicalDisturbance1 #AL97 now has a 90% chance of becoming a tropical cyclone within the next 48hrs.
The system has coalesced into a stronger TD, and it's looking ever more likely that it will organize enough to reach cyclone status. The hashed area of probability of being affected y storm has veered NE-ward, and seems to go through Cuba. If the storm becomes any stronger than a high end Tropical Storm, it WILL reach SW #Florida.

60% for *48*hrs.
80% for 07 days.https://www.star.nesdis.noaa.gov/GOES/sector_band.php?sat=G16§or=taw&band=GEOCOLOR&length=24
At this point, my hope is not that it does NOT form.... it WILL, but I hope it forms and quickly dissipates, before it even makes landfall somewhere.
The folks at #Yucatan deserve a break. #Cuba NEEDS a break. #Florida can't even, anymore.

#weather #GulfOfMexico #Caribbean #Atlantic #NHC NOAA
#TropicalDisturbance1 has a 30% chance of becoming a hurricane in the next 48 hrs, and a 70% for the next 7 days.
#TropicalDisturbance2 is low chance system hovering over #PuertoRico #Haiti #Dominica #Cuba and N Caribbean.
#TropicalDisturbance3 has a 40% chance of becoming a hurricane. It is currently couple hundred miles W of #Azores

#TropicalDisturbance1 is not looking particularly well organized, at this point, or presenting much in the way of signs of such development, but it's receiving considerable amount of energy from a stream of hot, humid air hailing from NW of S America

#Milton interacting with #TropicalDisturbance1
TD1 is siphoning a lot of energy away from Milton system, directing flow of air (and rain) ESE, vectoring Milton towards Atlantic, and pulling it East-South-East-ward.
TD1 plume is couple thousand miles long, and reaches #Leslie storm system, middle of Atlantic, clashing with its Westward motion, pushing it North.

Milton is reaching peak wind speeds, at a full blown Cat5, as of now.
Yucatan peninsula N will catch some hell.
Moving forward, Milton will meet some shearing, and waters that are not as warm, along with #tropicalDisturbance1 which is pushing considerable mass of hot air, light rain away from Florida Keys into the Atlantic, creating a vast plume of air + rain, which will have a considerable mitigating effect on Milton.
See it in motion, here
https://www.star.nesdis.noaa.gov/goes/fulldisk_band.php?sat=G16&band=GEOCOLOR&length=24&dim=11Milton is still expected to make landing as a Cat3, irrespective of panic floggers and dezinfo.
Keep an eye on the Public Advisories, disregard the hype. yes, conditions are fluid, but the development has been steady as observed and projected by the people who actually know what they are doing. Stop listening to clueless people seeking attention.
Heed #EvacuationOrders , check your Flood Zone info, and monitor LEGITIMATE INFORMATION SOURCES, such as NOAA/NHC, NOT JoeBlow calling themselves "climate scientist" without any actual qualifications. The actual scientists are in the NHC. The result of their work is PUBLIC and available at the links above.

#Leslie is expected to develop into a Tropical Cyclone by Friday evening, but to degrade into a Tropical Depression after that, BEFORE reaching the Windwards islands. Those, and the NNE coast of S America, will experience heavy rain and light coastal surge later this weekend.
#TropicalDisturbance1 in the Gulf of #Mexico is degrading and low chance of developing into a cyclone or even Tropical Storm status.
