I used to be really into the music of #MortenVeland, ex-#Tristania and #Sirenia...but on the whole I've not enjoyed anything he's done for almost 20 years now!
That's all changed now that I finally got around to listening to his more recent #Mortemia work!
I was disappointed with the first Mortemia album in 2010, for me it didn't recapture his glory days, but I'm really impressed with "The Pandemic Pandemonium Sessions."

Anyone like #gothicmetal ? Which bands?
I was such a huge #Tristania fan back in the day, and I still love 'em now that they're defunct. Overall, I prefered more symphonic or melodic bands like early
#WithinTemptation or #Delight. Also stuff like #Sentenced here and there.(Recommendations welcome, especially modern bands, as I've likely heard most of the older ones).

10 years ago today the album "Darkest White" by Tristania was released. It was supposed to be the last one - last year the band announced their breakup.
From my point of view an incredibly good record, which despite good reviews remained largely under the radar in the scene. The triple of Demurtas' female clean vocals, Nordhu's clean male vocals and Hidle's growls works perfectly here.
My favorites: Requiem, Scarling, Lavender, Arteries
