LBM/MCC yesterday was fun! This year, I went with @brezeldrache. We got to see a lot of pretty things and even though there weren't as many cosplayers as on weekends, we spotted a lot of Maomaos and Jinxs and Frierens and talked to couple nice people. :) I also got to chat with @inkdustrielle so that was lovely, too!
@brezeldrache is Meryl Strife from Trigun Stampede. I am Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII.

Trigun Stampede (2023)
Es una reimaginación muy rara. No puedo ni intentar valorar si estos 13 capítulos gustarán a quien no haya visto el anime original porque cada cosa que veo despierta una contraposición con la original. Hay un enfoque más global, con más énfasis en el ecosistema. Otros cambios como que Meryl sea periodista o que Millie es cambiada por un robusto veterano, no parecen tener mucho sentido pero funcionan.
La mayor diferencia para mí es que no hay misterio alguno. Sabemos desde el principio quienes son los esbirros de Knives, el propio Knives sale en el segundo capítulo, el brazo mecánico es visible desde la primera escena, etc. Y creo que ahí es donde pierde bastante de la magia de la serie del 98.
Está bien como curiosidad, como un mundo alternativo raro, pero no sustituye a la serie original para nada.

J'ai arrêté mon abonnement Crunchyroll (il fallait que je me calme sur les abonnements), il me reste une semaine avant que je n'ai plus accès et j'avais un weekend long. Du coup, je me suis bingé 2 séries courtes dont j'avais entendu le plus grand bien: #TrigunStampede (12ep) et #UndeadMurderFarce (13ep) ! C'était super ! Deux styles complètement différents mais vraiment réussis dans les deux cas.

Vash’s wig from Trigun: Stampede is finished. To replicate his undercut I had two wigs sewed together, something I’ve only done once before!
I’m going all out for Vash, right now estimate that I’m 50% complete and have been taking my time on him.
Still planning for a July debut! Can’t wait to put everything together 😌

I was so happy I got to cosplay Vash at Momocon! It was a lot of fun getting to meet all the other Trigun cosplayers too!
My amazing sister @spreenoel helped me make this cosplay! She helped me with the eva foam and also styled my wig!
