Geometry question:
I have a light (in parallel beams) shine on an object and the object casts a shadow on a plane that is at 90° to the direction of light.
When I now angle the plane to 45° degrees, the area of the shadow is spread out over a larger area of the plane by a factor of √2.But if I angle the plane 45° on one axis, and also 45° on a second axis, is the shadow now stretched out by a factor of √2 times √2?
