I'm super reluctant to share anything #NYTimes these days, but #TressieMcMillanCottom has an *excellent* piece interpreting Musk's actions and theatrics through the lens of "content" and performance --- which I thought was really effective (but others may disagree, of course).

#TressieMcMillanCottom being banned on #TikTok (presumably for discussing how #Blonde isn’t a hair colour per se but a signifier of a type of person) is heinous.
#WhitePeople have this idea that they shouldn’t be uncomfortable or have their customs and norms questioned and that functions to the detriment of marginalized people.
It is not enough to refrain from spewing slurs. #AntiRacism requires you to work constantly, to question your beliefs and to prioritize equity over your own feelings

white people love to believe they and theirs aren't racist, literally *can't* be racist, merely because they don't use certain words or nominally associate with *some* non-whites (yet, in whose homes do they most often socialize?)
#KevinCostner seems to believe he is some great white savior (#DancesWithWolves); this feels more of the same.
