I made a free account back in 2022 which I can still use without ever having to pay for it. Sad reality, but I believe it's just for the best.

#Tresorit al tijden van slag.
In folder 'opleidingen' opeens folder 'opleidingen', waarin 'opleidingen', waarin 'opleidingen' etc.
Verwijderen lukte niet: ze kwamen telkens terug. Al stond het niet op workstation; het stond op T dus T zette het BAM! weer op workstation.
Inmiddels 23, krankzinnig.Alle sync uit, opnieuw proberen.
Folders verwijderen lukte niet.
Wel alle bestanden erin.
Maar ik heb TIG folders.
Met TIG bestanden.
Ik ploeg nu al 2 dagen door zonder sync 😬 -

When I moved my desktop PC to Linux, I had to drop Sync.com as my E2EE cloud sync provider (no Linux client). I need cloud sync, not just cloud storage, so after much research and experimentation, I switched to Swiss Post's Tresorit. 10/10 would recommend.

Сквозное шифрование в облаках. Уязвимости — во всех сервисах
В наше время большинство пользователей хранят файлы в том или ином облачном хранилище: Google Drive , Яндекс.Диск , Dropbox , OneDrive и т. д. Благодаря низкой стоимости такие сервисы очень популярны. Их аудитория оценивается более чем в 4 млрд человек, а объём хранимых данных — порядка экзабайта. Почти все провайдеры шифруют файлы на своих серверах. Но если сам провайдер скомпрометирован, такая система не обеспечивает никакой защиты. Поэтому отдельные сервисы реализовали сквозное шифрование (E2EE), когда не сервер, а пользователь контролирует ключи шифрования. В основном, эти сервисы предлагают услуги для коммерческих клиентов. Например, MEGA , Nextcloud , Sync , Tresorit , Seafile , Icedrive и pCloud . К сожалению, реальность далека от рекламных заявлений. Независимое исследование показало, что все перечисленные провайдеры страдают от уязвимостей и архитектурных изъянов.

@viktor @invers Thanks for your hints. For me, a whole cloud seems a little too much for just synching calendars and cards. Maybe I just use #posteo for sharing a complete account with my wife. But maybe nextcloud could be a replacement for my cloud storage #tresorit. Therefore I need to be able to synch multiple directories — even on external drives. Do you know that?

I like how #tresorit is working so well for me: good Linux client able to synchronise multiple arbitrary folders.
I don’t like that Tresorit is proprietary and that it doesn’t handle picture galleries (so I also have @ente which is nice)
I just discovered @filen : is anybody using it? Has it been audited? How are they acting in the FLOSS world?

Wohl auch mal wieder so ein "Zertifikat" welches vor allem der Marketingabteilung dient 🙂

Und dann wird man auf der Webseite mit extern eingebundenen Fonts, Google-Tracking usw. begrüsst,
ein Server welcher kein DNSSEC, kein TLS 1.3 unterstützt und einen "lausige" TLS 1.2 Cipher-Konfig aufweist.Mein gewisses Mass ist somit bereits überschritten 😂
