Replaced all the brass bushings in the Traxxas Rustler roller I got off eBay a few months ago and wow what a difference. I expect it should take a little stress off the motor and maybe run slightly cooler?

Here is a quick video of my old Traxxas Slash "LCG" RWD Short Course truck on the indoor carpet track down at Nor-Cal Hobbies in San Jose from last weekend. Shot on an old Sony 1080P 60FPS Camcorder that records to SD cards. Yes a modern smart phone would probably produce nicer video but I love this vibe!
I love the "flow state" of this, just getting around the track as smoothly as possible even if it's not the fastest. A Slash is not a "race truck" anyway.

Ok first real like “every day life post” in a long while. This last weekend I went to NorCal Hobbies in San Jose to use their indoor carpet track for the first time in YEARS. Met up with some other fur friends there and honestly I had a great time. I mostly ran my olllllld LCG RWD Traxxas Slash but I also picked up an Arrma Mini Kraton and man what a fun little truck.
Was a good and tiring day. Was nice to know I still had SOME skill on the track after being away from it so long. I also didn’t expect to like running Carpet, but it was fun. I’m moving soon so I don’t know if I’ll be able to go back again but yesterday reminded me how much I enjoy this hobby!

Sibling gave me his old #Traxxas Slash 2WD, excited to see it binds electronically without a plug, and I can use it with my Sanwa MT-44. I've mostly been using my transmitter with #VRCPro, but it's nice to get to use it with a real RC car now.
Going to be completely disassembling it, cleaning it up, making a full inventory of hop ups, what needs replaced, what hardware needs replaced, and re-Loctite all metal on metal hardware.
