  1. Take the wheel (or handlebars) on your next journey! 🛣️🛵

Renting a scooter, motorbike, or self-drive car is often the most practical way to explore new cities, bypass heavy traffic, or head out on a weekend road trip. However, checking document rules, insurance terms, and vehicle conditions beforehand is vital.

  4. Old Manali: A SHORT Trip Here!

Old Manali seems to attract people who happen to be more inward-looking than most other tourist spots in Manali. Although, you may find that the rest of Manali is now oversaturated with tourists, there is something very simple, calming & nurturing about Old Manali. It can be your kinda place, if you are up for a solo crowd-escaping adventure in the mountains! Now, let’s check that spot off your bucket list.

I am right at the start of a mind-numbing, life-changing travel journey, and I am starting slow. First up, I hit up Manali, since it is the closest Himalayan resort town to me. I only did a 48-hour trip, but I enjoyed the slow pace and the evergreen pleasant vibes around the narrow lanes.

Oh! Now that I am talking more openly about my dreams of travelling + storytelling, here’s my 1st Old Manali vlog to give you a closer look of my experience. Mostly, I did walk around quite a lot, worked from my room and also, tried the Nepali and the German breakfasts in town. Keep following me on YouTube and explore India with me!

While this was a really short trip, I still recommend the following few things:

Check out German Bakery & Nepali Sandwich Bar

Stay at La Voglia or Desire Hostel

Check out this one really nice faux leather bag shop down the streets on your left, if you coming from the top. Oh. My. God. My foreign friends, they sell incredible things that may be very expensive for you outside. The owner is a gem-hearted guy, and his brother owns a shop in Germany. You can trust the quality.

I also recommend the Bhagsu Cake, if you have never ever tried this famous local delicacy in the Himalayan hills. Its mostly a mix of dark chocolate on a biscuit base. It is the Indian version of shortbread. Damn tasty!

I hope that as I grow in my storytelling journey, ‘THE WORD OF AISH’, and grow my YouTube channel, I can show you more and more about the beautiful land I call home.

    Bbye!

  9. It’s almost free (except 2 areas), not overly crowded, and incredibly peaceful, something I didn’t expect after traveling through other parts of India.

One of the best ways to explore it is by bike. Riding between temples and palm trees with almost no one around is just unreal.

Without a doubt, Hampi is a place I’d highly recommend. If you’re traveling through India, don’t skip it, it’s something special. #travelindia #visitindia

  10. It’s also one of the main hubs for Ashtanga yoga, attracting people from all over the world who come here to practice seriously.

The city itself is a bit chaotic, as expected in India, but it has some really nice spots and a more relaxed feel compared to bigger cities.

Definitely worth a stop, especially for the palace alone.

  15. Park Street tonight.
No stars in the sky. Pollution won. Fair enough.

So the city handled Christmas and New Year the Kolkata way —
string up enough lights to forget the sky entirely.
    Loud, bright, chaotic. Exactly right.

  16. Riding has always had a purpose.
My first ride, Trivandrum to Kasaragod was to touch Kerala's northern and southern tip.
This time, I’m tracing history itself: entering the Sangottai Gap, exiting the Palakkad Gap - born from India’s split with Madagascar.

    So far:
    🏗️ Punal Suspension Bridge (1871)
    🌉 13-Arch Bridge (1904)
    🏞️ Tenkasi’s charm
🏺 Keeladi, rewriting Indus Valley migration theory.

  20. Epic drive today from Ahmedabad to Surat with Shehzadi, our world-touring Toyota Tundra (yes, PETROL, not diesel 😄). Flew down the super-smooth NE-4 and NH-48, crossed the mighty Narmada River, and rolled into buzzing Surat to a warm family welcome. Highways here are levelling up faster than our fitness goals. More chaos and adventure ahead across India!
