  1. I received an email about Chase upping the welcome bonus for the Chase Sapphire Reserve card. Even if I wanted to do that, they wouldn't approve me because I would violate their 5/24 rule.

  2. I have built up over 346k credit card points over four cards so far this year. This weekend, I figured out a way to grab 2k more while grabbing additional points at a 3x rate. Once I'm done with this trip, I need to move the credit limits for two of those cards and close them.

  3. I'm trying to track the five places I have loyalty points and miles, and I think that might be a good justification for a spreadsheet.

  4. That is a really good deal for a business class seat from Chicago to Tokyo.

  5. "The way I’m looking at it, this card will give us over $2,255 in value even after the annual fee… that’s a substantial win! That doesn’t count the other benefits like Apple TV+ and the Lyft credits, which we’ll be sure to take advantage of, too."

  6. I'm up to 109,977 CSP points, 87,182 United Miles, 30,000 Hyatt Bonus Rewards, and 102,218 Venture X miles. (It's the power of the Welcome Bonus.) By the end of the year, I want to get Hyatt up to 60,000 and then I should be able to cover hotels on the CSP and Hyatt points and cover airfare on the other two for two weeks in Japan. I'm travel-hacking the shit out of my 2026 trip. :blobcatfingerguns:

  7. Ok, I'm working on 100k capital one miles and 100k chase points. The next step is to grab a welcome bonus on an airline credit card and one on a hotel credit card. 🤔

If I do this right, I should be able to do my 2026 trip for almost nothing.

  8. Who else plans their vacations around credit card points balances? I’m up to ~$300 worth of points and I think that I should be up to $900 (enough to get to South Korea and back) by January. #Travel #TravelHacking

  9. In 2023, I am planning on seeing Germany and Austria. I'm thinking about hitting Vienna, Munich, and Berlin over two weeks. In 2024, I want to see either Asia (South Korea or Japan) or South America (probably Peru).

I wish I flew for work or something so that I could build up the really big points balanaces.

  10. I have $1825.35 more to spend on my United airlines credit card until I get my sign-up bonus, and then I will never use it again.

  11. "11,250 miles one-way" to fly between the US and Europe is pretty good when there are 1:1 points transfer between the Chase cards and Flying Blue.
