Each country built its own Buddhist temple complex with completely different architectural styles.

Some of my favorites were the temples from South Korea and Myanmar. It almost feels like traveling through different parts of Asia while staying in one place.

#Jaipur was my last stop in #Rajasthan. A city packed with highlights like the Hawa Mahal, Amber Fort and the Monkey Temple. But it was also the most chaotic city I visited in the region.

There’s a lot to see in Jaipur, and architecturally it’s impressive, but walking around the city exhausted me. Endless traffic, noise, crowds and trash everywhere. After a few days, I felt pretty overwhelmed.

Next city, #Jodhpur ended up being one of the cities that really drew me in while traveling through #Rajasthan

The old town and its market feel like a step back in time, chaotic, colorful and full of life at every corner

Then there’s the Blue City itself, with houses climbing up the hills and giving Jodhpur that unique look.

And above it all, the massive Mehrangarh Fort dominating the skyline, impossible to ignore and even better once you’re inside.

Just arrived in #Rajasthan, starting with #Udaipur, the famous City of Lakes. And I have to say, I liked it more than I expected

It’s not just the lakes and the surrounding hills, or even the old town

There’s something about the whole setting that makes it a really enjoyable place to explore

But the highlight is the City Palace, massive, one of the biggest in #India (up there with #Mysore). Endless rooms, intricate details, and some great views over the lake.

In terms of scale and complexity, it’s a remarkable piece of architecture.

Not as widely known as other landmarks in #India, but without a doubt one of the most impressive works I’ve come across.

Day 1 :of Round Britain: Aberdeen to Inverness

Gorse-scented trails, a jammed chain, gravel detours, and a fish supper to end it all. This was one of the few times I shared one of my adventures—and what a day it turned out to be.
