well that was exciting ... settled in to bed to watch Netflix when all of a sudden there's a flying insect hatch coming from somewhere behind the head of the bed! Dozens of them flying around the head of the bed attracted to the only lights in on in the room, over the head of the bed. ACK! Ahh the joys of visiting the tropics. Looked like a flying ant swarm to me. They're now (hopefully) enjoying the emergency light that's been plugged into the other room #TravelAdventures #Ants #Bugs #UGH

Feeling a little "shaken up" after experiencing our first #earthquake (5.9) in the wee hours here in Medellin. @stevevrporter was already at work meeting with folks overseas. When he got me out of bed, I had been wondering why he was opening and closing the sliding doors in our apartment. It was over pretty quickly, but it's making our return home to #Winnipeg tomorrow more appealing. I'll take a blizzard over an earthquake any day! #TravelAdventures #Colombia
