Important Announcement!
For the past two years, Trans Pride Southampton has existed as an independent organisation. We’ve enjoyed not just having our namesake event rage through the city as the protest it is. We’ve also put on smaller events through the year, like a meet up at Calshot Beach, and a small queer sports day.
Due to a range of reasons, Trans Pride Southampton is formally dissolving as a Community Interest Company (CIC).
However, we will be merging our resources with Southampton Pride so the event and cause will exist under the Southampton Pride umbrella.
This does mean the Trans Pride Southampton event will not happen on the 25th October, but we will be helping at Southampton Pride on the 23rd and 24th August, to make sure the trans community is properly included and fought for - in perhaps the most important year for Pride so far.
It has been a fantastic three years bringing the Trans community together in Southampton, and we cannot wait to continue to do this with Southampton Pride.

It is amazing how simple it was to create a 404 page that easily generates an error if a page does not exist on the site :3

There's several problems finding an instance for Trans Pride Southampton.
1. We'd like to interact with as many people as possible including Threads when they allow there users to follow other Fediverse users.
2. Finding a Instance that visually looks good next to the TransPrideSouthampton name is something that we'd love to do, some instances are mainly focusing on Trans Men or Trans Women so we are trying to find something Trans Based without being one sided.
3. Working out the Correct handle for ourselves, as we normally use @TransPrideSouthampton on every platform but that's a bit long when you include a instance name after.
Not sure where we will go from here, but finding the right Instance for Trans Pride Southampton is one of the main tasks I will try and work on the background well using the Fediverse.
