  13. We biked to #Seaside last eve, passing through North Monterey. En route, we used alternate route (not Monterey’s North Fremont Street center bike lanes). On return trip, we used that center bikeway, to see if the most recent collision’s debris, which we reported 9/9 and again 9/19, had been cleaned up yet. Verdict: mostly (use caution to avoid tire puncture).

We salute the work of @LukeBornheimer and others for Better Valencia, #SanFrancisco
ICYMI, #Monterey’s center bike lane was first such design in California. SF followed suit—and regretted it. “SFMTA is planning to replace the Valencia Street center bikeway with curbside bike lanes as soon as January.” sfba.social/@LukeBornheimer/11 Follow Luke for details and more sustainable transportation efforts.

  14. The research suggests that regional attributes of jobs-housing balance and transportation conditions in the MSSN range significantly influence both station passengers and flow imbalance. The research also provides theoretical insights for urban planners and policymakers to create effective strategies for urban rail transit networks.
