Archived link to LGBTQNation article (because of all the pop-ups): new Progressive Caucus Chair Greg Casar (D-TX) says Dems don't have to throw minorities like trans people under the bus, suggests actually fighting the GOP and offering something to working class people instead.
Democratic Party elites respond: "But we LIKE throwing minorities under the bus, and this sounds like you want to pick a fight with corporations, which is haaaard. No thanks!" (OK I made this part up. But you know it's true.)

Is school policy for trans kids in England set at the school level or by the council or where does this happen? Is it useful to ask parents to talk to the head teacher or is this a waste of time?

Hm. Mastodon was my nice retreat from the politics of twitter. But my federated timeline appears to now be filled with repeated transphobic articles and Non-CW descriptions of gender crit activities and negativity.
I just want to break away from all that. It takes me to a dark place if I think about it.
