  1. #Tomatoes #transplanting.
Ensure that you pile up the soil at base of your plants. Tomato plants are happier, when you mound up the soil & transplant them deep into pots(if you're not putting them into ground). Banana peel & fish head parts are at bottom of every tomato planter to ensure they are constantly fed from the bottom up 👩‍🌾
I'll update in 1-2 weeks on how I use alfalfa feed pellets when my tomato plants start to produce their first fruit babies.

[not my usual ‘sort of thing’ to post - as broad as that is - but I found this fascinating; it reminds me, in a sense, of the Incas incrementally selecting corn stock that can handle higher and higher altitudes, in ‘research stations’, although those were a domesticated crop]

  16. @napalousa My peppers took a really long time to sprout on the heat mat, but they finally did it. Today, I am transplanting 56 tomato seedlings. There are so many because I'm sprouting for 2 others, but still...I don't have the courage to not transplant every sprout. Ha. #gardening #gyo #GrowFoodFromSeeds #transplanting #tomatoes #peppers

  17. Transplanted my seedlings this week. 96 wee pots squished in under lights. Felt good to play in the dirt. Still too chilly to do much outside. #gardeninginsaskatchewan, #gardening, #seedlings, #spring, #transplanting, #veggies, #herbs, #flowers, #livinginhope

  18. Rhubarb that was transplanted 3 months ago and the original plant that wasn't all in the location I dug up for the first two shown.

  19. Rain is promised, temps are moderate so great time to transplant, except the water hasn't been turned on at the crops garden so I'm hauling two 5 gallon containers each visit. The pic is winterbor and starboard kale. Also transplanted all of the lettuces and arugulas, the onions, the leeks, the collards and the broccoli. #gardening #kale #transplanting #gyo #growfood #growfromseed

  20. #Skin #grafts are a vital treatment for burns and other extensive skin injuries. Since the 1980s, advances in #bioengineering have allowed researchers to grow new patches of skin in the lab. Such #engineered grafts are less traumatic for patients than #transplanting skin from elsewhere on the body.
